No food company can accept the devastating effects of a food pathogen outbreak from its operation, be it a food processor or a restaurant. Fresh Start Foods operates under strict food safety protocols and GMP’s.

 

At Fresh Start Foods, food safety starts with GMP’s, a HACCP Plan and a robust microbiology program. We have a full time multi-disciplined Quality Assurance Team to ensure all guidelines are followed, all Sanitary conditions are met and all products leave the facility under the strictest controls. As a further precaution, all production employees are screened for Hepatitis A and are vaccinated against the virus.

 

HACCP is a food safety program initially developed by NASA to safeguard the food source for the Space Program. HACCP has now expanded world wide as the accepted food safety program. HACCP participation in Canada is voluntary for the Fresh Cut Product Industry. With our food safety initiatives, Fresh Start Foods is ready to become an industry leader.
